SJ Norge and Mantena have today signed a contract for the total delivery of train maintenance for Traffic Package 2 North. The contract has a duration of 8.5 years, with options for an additional two years, and includes all maintenance of rolling stock to be used on the seven routes included in the traffic package:
- Dovre Line
- Rauma Line
- Røros Line
- Trønder Line
- Meråker Line
- Nordland Line
- Salten Commuter
With this contract, SJ and Mantena continue a long-term partnership in Norway and Sweden. The companies already have agreements on train maintenance on several lines in Sweden and this autumn have also established a collaboration for the maintenance of trains for traffic across the Øresund connection and in southern Sweden.
SJ Sweden is an established player in the railway sector, and already operates, among other things, train services between Stockholm and Narvik and between Stockholm and Oslo. SJ Norge will take over traffic on the routes included in the traffic package in June 2020.
