Since operations began, Mantena has maintained the fine Flytoget trains in Norway. From now on, we will also maintain the 8 newly acquired modern trains that have been put into commercial operation as of June 3rd.
Many have seen the new train on the tracks lately in connection with the test runs that have been carried out, and Mantena's maintenance manager, Finn Maurstad, reports that prior to the start of operations, they have spent considerable time getting familiar with the trains in the workshop.
– The maintenance is performed according to an agreed schedule, and we have already had the first train set in for the 30,000 kilometer maintenance interval, says Maurstad.
The travel experience is important
Flytoget is extremely pleased with the new train sets; both the design and the colors fully meet their standards. Even though the train journey is not very long, Philipp Engedal, CEO of Flytoget, assures that customers will enjoy a pleasant travel experience. The new train sets are, among other things, more spacious with wider seats and increased luggage space. In addition, they have several zones: a quiet zone, a mingle zone, and a normal seating zone.
– The only thing faster than this train is probably the Wi-Fi on board, says Engedal to the magazine Jernbanemagasinet.
