Mantena signed a major contract with Öresundståg

Mantena has won a new contract with Öresundståg. This means Mantena will continue to maintain the trains operating between Southern Sweden and Denmark.

– This is one of the largest maintenance contracts in the Nordics. We are grateful for the trust placed in us and promise continued diligent work on the maintenance of the trains from our modern facility in Hässleholm, says Jon Arne Ulvan, Chief Executive Officer of Mantena.

– We are committed to the Nordic market and are prepared to continue investing as new tenders are announced. We regard this contract as a vote of confidence in the improvement and development work we are undertaking, and it inspires us to continue, says Jon Arne Ulvan.

About Öresundståg

Öresundståg is a public transport company responsible for the crucial train service between cities in Southern Sweden and Denmark over the Öresund connection, with over 6 million travelers. Proper and regular maintenance of the train sets is essential for a reliable and predictable train service with well-functioning trains. Maintenance of the Öresundståg trains takes place at the Nordic region’s largest and most modern train workshop in Hässleholm, Skåne. The facility is financed and owned by Öresundståg. Mantena has been responsible for the maintenance since its inception on 13 December 2020 and has now been entrusted once again.

About Mantena

Mantena maintains and repairs rail-bound vehicles, components, and rail-based construction machines for various railway companies in Norway and Sweden. Mantena also performs thermal spraying of metals.

Mantena is owned by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. The company was separated from NSB as an independent limited company in 2002.
