16. May 2024

The agreement is Mantena Technology's first commercial contract. – This demonstrates that there is a demand for our expertise in the market.

Orkla Industrial Museum conveys industrial and labor history in Orkland municipality in Sør-Trøndelag, and includes, among other things, the museum railway Thamshavnbanen.

Moving forward, Mantena Technology will assist as a technical resource to inspect the museum's rolling stock.

– Mantena's expertise provides excellent prerequisites for solving the task, says Nils Arne Hegle, acting department manager for Operations at Orkla Industrial Museum.

Maintenance engineer at Mantena, Torgrim Gjelsvik, explains that the management system requires a person who does not work with the daily maintenance to participate in the annual inspections.

– We carry out an interdisciplinary review and inspection of safety-critical systems, in collaboration with the workshop employees. We also conduct troubleshooting.

The agreement with Orkla Industrial Museum is the first commercial contract signed by Mantena's new business unit Technology after it was established as its own business area on January 1st this year.

Mantena Technology specializes in utilizing expertise, technology, and data to extend the service life and optimize maintenance of rolling stock. Technology is also responsible for ensuring that Mantena scales and commercializes the innovative products and services developed within the company, so they can be offered to an external market.

– This agreement means that Mantena's focus on Technology and technical advisory services has started to bear fruit. It also demonstrates that there is a demand for the expertise Mantena possesses in the rolling stock market, says Dan Drægni, sales and marketing manager at Mantena Technology.
