Ingvild Storås has been appointed as the new Group CEO of Mantena AS. She takes over the leadership of a company with a central role in the maintenance of the Norwegian railway, and will lead the company's continued efforts to strengthen competitiveness and ensure a sustainable Mantena for the future.
Storås brings extensive leadership experience from the railway sector. She has previously been CEO of Baneservice and CargoNet and a member of the executive management team at Vy, and most recently comes from the position of CEO at NRC Group Norway. She has also held a number of board positions, and has, among other things, been a board member at Mantena since autumn 2025, a role she is now stepping down from.
The appointment is the result of a thorough recruitment process led by an external recruitment company, where the board considered several strong candidates.
“I am very pleased that Ingvild Storås has agreed to lead Mantena. She has solid top-level management experience from the railway and a strong ability to lead companies through restructuring and change. That is exactly the expertise Mantena needs now, and with her on the team we are building a Mantena for the future,” says Chairman Stian Hårklau.
Storås looks forward to taking on the task.
“Mantena plays an important role for the Norwegian railway, and the company has a strong professional environment and many skilled employees to build on. I look forward to getting to know the organization and to working together with the employees to further develop the company,” says Ingvild Storås.
The board also extends its thanks to outgoing interim Group CEO Arne Roland.
“Arne Roland has led Mantena as interim Group CEO through the last two years, and before that contributed as a board member in the company. He has led the company through a demanding period with great effort, and the board is very grateful for the work he has done,” says Hårklau.
Ingvild Storås will formally assume the role of Group CEO on June 22.
