From January 1, 2020, Mantena is owned by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries; in English, the Ministry of Industry and Fisheries.
"The government has decided to transfer the ownership management of the wholly state-owned railway maintenance company Mantena from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries (NFD), effective from January 1, 2020. The transfer is in line with the guidelines in the government’s new ownership report."
– Through state ownership of Mantena, the government ensures that there is a provider of maintenance and workshop services for rail-based rolling stock in the Norwegian market, says Minister of Transport Jon Georg Dale.
In the ownership report presented by the government earlier this autumn, it is stated that the state’s ownership in commercial companies should be managed by the central ownership unit in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. As a follow-up to this, we are now moving the company."
