Rita Sivertsen has been appointed Head of Innovation and Development, while Dan Drægni will become Sales and Marketing Manager at Mantena Technology.
– Mantena is on a journey of transformation and development, where we aim to build both digitalization and competitiveness and reach new markets. This is an ambition that is very exciting, and one I look forward to being a part of, states Rita Sivertsen.
She has taken on the newly established position as Head of Innovation and Development at Mantena Technology.
Sivertsen will be joined by Dan Drægni, who assumes the role of Sales and Marketing Manager.
– It is incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to build a sales organization entirely from scratch at Mantena Technology – while also having a solid and well-reputed company backing us, says Drægni.
Important Initiative
Mantena's vision is to be the Nordic region’s most innovative total supplier of maintenance services for railway vehicles. The new Technology business area, which was established last autumn, is an important step in this direction. Mantena Technology specializes in using technology and data to extend the lifespan and optimize the maintenance of rolling stock. Over the next few years, the ambition is to go from approximately 45 to 100 engineers and technologists in the new business area.
Director of Mantena Technology, Ramnath Falch Ambathy, points out that innovation and development are by no means new to Mantena – but that this work has so far been based only on the organization’s internal needs.
– Our new Technology initiative will ensure that we scale and commercialize the products and services we innovate, so that we can offer them in an external market. In addition, we will increase the efficiency of the services Mantena currently provides in maintenance, says Ambathy.
He highlights 3D scanning as an example, which Mantena now offers as a service to inspect damages and check quality after repairs.
Rita Sivertsen believes it is a very interesting industry she is now a part of.
– We are in the midst of a major transition driven by technology. The most important task will be to accelerate strategic and commercial service and innovation development, enabling us to achieve our ambitions – naturally in close collaboration with the rest of the organization.
Sivertsen has extensive experience with digital transformation, service development, and innovation from her background as a consultant, most recently at BearingPoint. She has worked with a wide range of clients, industries, and fields, experience she now brings to her new role.
New Technology, Long History
Dan Drægni comes from the position of Regional Manager at the technology company Envac Norge, and has extensive experience in both sales and contract management. He has great confidence in the new business area he is now entering.
– I believe there is a great need for this type of technology services in the railway sector. There are several players in the market, but Mantena can boast a history and experience that is unique. That we are so closely involved with operations in the workshop is also a major advantage, he asserts.
Now, his most important task will be to inform the market about
Mantena’s new technology services – both in Norway, Sweden, and beyond in Europe.
– It will also be important to gather market insights so that we develop and innovate products that our customers need. Our goal is to solve the customer’s challenges before they even realize they have a problem.
Ramnath Falch Ambathy is pleased to have the two experienced leaders on board.
– With Dan and Rita in place, we are well equipped to achieve our ambitions. We will bridge the gap between IT technology and engineering, to ensure we deliver what the future requires for efficient train maintenance, he summarizes.
